Russian courts have banned several blockbuster anime from appearing, from Death Note, Tokyo Ghoul, to Inuyashiki, due to multiple sexual assaults by teenagers imitating scenes from the show.

"Each episode contains cruelty, murder and violence," said the court. Petersburg.

Last week, a court order also banned distribution of the Death Note and Inuyashiki on two websites. Meanwhile, Tokyo Ghoul cannot be broadcast on either side.
Russian news agency RIA Novosti said the court ruled that the browsing ban only applies to registered websites.

As reported by The Moscow Times, the court made this decision after a teenager, a Death Note fan, fell out of a window in a white shirt and red tie, just like the main anime character.

The Death Note itself tells of a high school student named Light Yagami who finds a notebook or notebook. This notebook turns out to have a dark power that can kill anyone as long as their name is written there.

At the beginning of the story, Yagami wants to make the world a better place by including many names of criminals in the book. Over time, he became more and more selfish and began to think of himself as God.

With this book in Yagami's hands, many people began to lose their lives. Famous local police and detectives start looking for the motive for the mysterious death.

In addition to the death note, prosecutors turned to St. Petersburg. Petersburg has banned Naruto Reviewers, Elfen Lied, and Interspecies for the same reason in December 2020.
